CREATE A LEAD SCORE 101
"LEAD SCORE" is the best property in your CRM to target priority leads.
"LEAD SCORE" is the best property in your CRM to target priority leads.
LEAD SCORE is simply a sum of relevant property scores. Leads with the highest score have the highest priority.
Let's create a simple Lead Score in the spreadsheet below. The relevant properties I chose are highlighted Red and Blue.
Leads that have a "VIEWED" shown in RED get 10 points.
Leads that have a "THUMBS UP" shown in BLUE get 5 points.
The Lead Score is shown in YELLOW:
In other words, Lead Score is calculated here as follows: Thumbs Up score plus Date Received score = Lead Score.
A more advanced technique is to have multiple lead scores.
For example, your boss might like one lead score, while you prefer a more refined lead score, titled "Secondary Lead Score." In the spreadsheet above, the "Secondary Lead Score" is based on the earlier lead score column (YELLOW), plus the "Job Title" column, as well as my own column, titled "Personal Interest."
